Plain Manicure



Plain Manicure

Supplies:
Fingerbowl filled with warm, soapy water
Emery board
Buffer block
Nail polish remover
Cotton
Orangewood stick
Basecoat, nail polish, and topcoat
Cuticle pusher and nippers
Cuticle remover
Nail brush
Lotion

Procedure:
1)Remove polish of left hand.
2)File and buff nails of hand.
3)Place hand in fingerbowl.
4)Do steps 1-2 for right hand.
5)Take left hand out and put right hand in fingerbowl.
6)Apply cuticle remover to cuticles.
7)Push cuticles back using cuticle pusher; nip if necessary.
8)Remove right hand from bowl and do steps 6-7.
9)Using lotion, massage left hand and arm; then do same for right.
10)Dip fingers in bowl and use nail brush to clean surface of all ten nails.
11)Using orangewood stick, clean under free edge of all ten nails.
12)Apply 1 coat basecoat, 2-3 coats of polish, and 1 coat topcoat to all ten nails.

*To add a dip in paraffin wax:
1)Remove polish of both hands.
2)File and buff both hands.
3)Dip each hand in paraffin wax.
4)After wax has cooled, push and nip cuticles of both hands.
5)Skip to step 9 of plain manicure procedure and continue to follow steps.
